The members of the City Council of the City of Phenix City, Alabama met in a regularly
scheduled work session at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 in the third floor conference room of
the Municipal Building located at 601 12th Street, Phenix City, Alabama.

Mayor and Council reviewed the demolition process for property located at 527 6th
Place. Mayor Lowe had received a letter from Ms. Cheryl Wilson, asking for council's help in
establishing a community garden place at this location. Chief Building Official Gil Griffith
explained there have been numerous complaints from the surrounding neighborhood regarding
the condition of this property. Council reviewed photos of the property. Mr. Griffith further
explained a bid is scheduled to be awarded at the council meeting tomorrow to Stewart
Contracting in the amount of $925.00 (the lowest bidder). Mayor and Council asked Mr. Griffith
to contact Ms. Wilson and inform her the demolition process will continue.
