Well, I applaud the rappers and street poets, as well, and always have!

As the poet wrote long ago:

"There is plenty of room for all
So please don't elbow me.
Let the four winds blow...
All around this old cabin door.
If I'm not too far off
I think we did this once before..."

Again, the dozens of talented singers and songwriters of the Columbus &
Phenix City music scene are constantly creating and performing original
songs that stand on a world class level with songwriters anywhere in the
world, and I defy you to prove otherwise.

Here are some individual examples of local singer-songwriters who, in my
opinion, are creating some quality work, and put on a great performance, and
I see no way thant my posting links to their work can in any way "hinder"
these very legitimate musicians:

Riley Yielding:

Bibb City Ramblers:

Fiddlers Blues Band:

The above performers in the Columbus-Phenix City music scene are great
examples of the wealth of talent in the Chattahoochee Valley.

Actually, this be a.a.p.c.
No, it depends on where you're reading it from, as I also posted this on:
rec.music.makers,alt.arts.poetry.comments,rec.music.makers.songwriting,alabama.general,alt.atlanta

Thanks for playing, though.

A true Columbus treasure

Indeed, as I obviously agree.

What's really pathetic about those who bash the Columbus-Phenix City music
scene is that as much as you whine, you obviously can't match any of it.

If so, feel free... meanwhile, here's the Real Deal of Hogbottom and the
Columbus GA-Phenix City AL music scene:

Will Dockery & Friends" at Hogbottom: Will Dockery (vocals), Sandy? Madaris
(vocals), Henry Conley (guitar), Geno Woolfolk (keyboard), Doug Conley
(bass), James McGuire (trumpet) & Dorundo Jenkins (drums). Looking forward
to another? blast in Fort Mitchell in 2013!
